The documentary Campo a Través is still touring international film festivals. The next showing will be at the Festival MAFICI 2016. After its premiere at the Festival Internacional de Cine de San Sebastián and the Berlinale pass, BAFICI, the DocsBarcelona and Transatlantyk Film Festival, the ethological and philosophical documentary about Mugaritz directed by Pep Gatell has been selected in the Competencia Oficial de Operas Primas del III.
The Festival Internacional de Cine de Puerto Madryn, MAFICI 2016, will take place from November 2nd to November 6th in Argentina. With Leonardo Sbaraglia as godfather, MAFICI festival seeks to provide the opportunity to present foreign and domestic films, both feature films and short films, to generate a meeting point and distribution of cinema from out a corner of the Patagonia Argentina.
The director Pep Gatell distils what they consider essential in this world, their most intimate philosophies. The ideas behind the work, the way trouble is overcome, what is suffered and enjoyed, what excellence means to them; to sum up, how Mugaritz is created and destroyed constantly. Risk is constant, that is the idea behind the title, but it’s also proof of the wisdom that comes from the effort and work of many people that have been, are and will be in Mugaritz; a place where the culinary goal has been surpassed by the creative process and its possible variations.
