La Fura dels Baus are traveling to Monterrey to inaugurate the Nuevo León: Polo Cultural de México 2014 with Aphrodite and the judgment of Paris. It will be the coming 29th, 30th and 31st August, at 20h30, at the Explanada de los Héroes del Palacio de Gobierno.

The viralshow, directed by Pera Tantiñá will be an air show, with music and video that will own all magic. Also, ‘Aphrodite and the judgment of Paris’ will have local participants (previously selected through a casting). The installation attaches great importance to the human factor, necessary to make this impressive show of 40 minutes long.

The show will feature broadcasts on social networks through the hashtag ‘#AfroditaMonterrey‘. There will be online interviews with participants, tests and other interesting information that will help bring the public, both Mexican and international, to this viralshow.

This outdoor installation tells the dispute between Athena, Hera and Aphrodite for possessing the apple “for the fairest”. The temperate Paris has to act as a judge and goddesses will tempt him by offering various gifts in return for his choice. Paris selects Aphrodite who will give him something that unable to refuse: the beautiful Helen, the precursor of the future Trojan War.
