Carlus Padrissa, after setting the bar high in 2018 with his macro-show ‘PAX’, this 2024, six years later, returns with the show ‘Pioneers 52Hz’ at the Linz Klangwolke, one of the largest multimedia musical events held every year in September since 1979 in the open air in the Danube Park of the Austrian city of Linz. With only the concept of pioneers, travelers and innovators, Carlus Padrissa has designed a show to pay tribute to all the pioneers who have come and will come.
‘Pioneers 52Hz’ is a tribute to all the pioneers who have improved the lives of mankind, opened the doors of science, art and knowledge: Austrian psychologist Melanie Klein, German choreographer Pina Bausch, mathematician Mileva Einstein, Mexican painter Frida Kahlo and Austrian painter Gustav Klimt; French scientific couple Madame and Pierre Curie, German astronomer Johannes Kepler, Austrian skydiver Felix Baumgartner, Serbian inventor Nicolas Tesla and English anthropologist Jane Goodall. The show is based on the symphonic music ‘The Planets’ by the English composer Gustav Holst. Each of these people is a planet orbiting among us. The show has great scenographies and a hundred participants that illustrate the contribution of our pioneers by land, water and air. We look forward to a global experience,” said Carlus Padrissa of La Fura dels Baus yesterday during the press conference of Linz Klangwolke 2024.
