On November 9th, Carlus Padrissa, artistic director and founder of the company La Fura dels Baus, performed a “surprise” show about ocean pollution and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) at the closing ceremony of the 15th Delta Awards in Viladecans.

The staging was a mermaid (mezzo-soprano Helena Ressurreição) surrounded by whales on a seabed where she sang happily when all of a sudden, fishing boats polluted the waters with fabrics, gasoline, plastics, etc. After her fight against pollution and the death of marine fauna and flora, the final message was clear: “Water is the driving force of all nature.” Leonardo da Vinci.
