The 14th edition of the People in Red Charity Gala will be held on May 6 at the Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya (MNAC) in Barcelona, and will serve to raise funds for the Fundació Lluita contra les Infeccions, chaired by Dr. Bonaventura Clotet.

Infections are responsible for one in three deaths worldwide. The challenge of the Gala is to continue leading research projects that allow to offer innovative treatments to cure people living with an infection.

This year, as a novelty, La Fura dels Baus will collaborate with the Gala during the aperitif where it will conduct a unique aerial show with the participation of 42 dancers from the Barcelona Theater Institute.

The purpose of this solidarity event is to raise funds for the Fundació Lluita contra les Infeccions, which currently faces the main challenges posed by infectious diseases from six major areas of knowledge: HIV, covid-19, sexually transmitted infections, international health, infections in immunocompromised patients and severe bacterial infections.
