Once again La Fura dels Baus has joined a initiative of the Proactiva Open Arms organization. Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem were, on Saturday, June 1, the sponsors of a solidarity dinner with the objective of raising funds for the NGO.

The director Carlus Padrissa made an action that recreated the migratory process: it simulated the emigration and the shipwreck in order to sensitize the attendees. Proactiva Open Arms deals with emergency situations in the maritime environment. Its main mission is to rescue refugees who arrive in Europe fleeing from war, persecution or poverty. The meeting was also attended by other familiar faces in addition to the mayors of Madrid and Barcelona, Manuela Carmena and Ada Colau.
