Neither the mishaps of the rain nor anything else could stop the parade of La Fura’s Gigante at the 16th Noche Blanca de Mérida last Friday, November 24th.

Nobody imagined that after a hot day at 30 degrees under the sun in the middle of the assembly it would start raining, but, welcome to the tropic climate, right? We love challenges! Even so, thanks to the effort and teamwork of our artistic and technical team, local production, hands and Yucatecan participants, we managed to get the giant puppet up and ready for the Noche Blanca parade, which was delayed to 10pm due to the previous rain.

However, with its elegant movement, the transformer was not just a street show, it was a celebration of creativity, human connection and the capacity of imagination to transform the ordinary into something extraordinary. An artistic proposal that will linger in the retina of the city of Mérida and leave a mark in your heart.
