The Museo del Prado opened to the public on 19 November 1819 as a Royal Museum of Painting and Sculpture. In 2019, will celebrate its Bicentenary a commemoration that will reveal the path covered since 1819 until today.

The bicentenary will last one year, but next Saturday, November 24, La Fura dels Baus will perform an aerial large scale show at the the Paseo del Prado in Madrid. It will be an exclusive aerial performance inspired by the women painters who have paintings works exhibited in the museum. It will be performed on 3 ocasions: 8.30 pm, 9.30 pm and 10.30 pm. It is recommended to download the smartphone app Kalliope Suite , available on Google Play and the Apple Store.
