This Thursday, July 20th, starting at 21h, at the premises of the Fundación Laboral de la Construcción de Badalona (avenida de la Comunidad Europea, 32), there will be the performance of the project Épica i Singular, an initiative promoted by the Instituto Municipal de Promoción del Empleo (IMPO) of the Badalona City Council, La Fura and the Labor Foundation of Construction.

The event, which will be attended by the Mayor of Badalona, Dolores Sabater, will consist of a show / exhibition and a multidisciplinary show by the students who have been part of it. The line of occupation of the project has consisted in working a series of skills and competences, preparing among all the young participants an artistic project guided by both La Fura and other professionals of the performing arts, science and technology. During the last weeks of the process, for example, two chefs from the R & D area of the Mugaritz restaurant in Guipuzkoa, the Berklee College of Music and technicians from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology who have explored new ways of combining Gastronomy, science, technology and sound with the performative dimension of the theater, as well as showing students ways to work and develop concepts that were unknown to them.

These activities include learning audiovisual techniques and building specialties related to the show (vertical works, assembly of structures and scaffolds, etc.). The project has also incorporated a line of entrepreneurship that has offered young people the resources of advice and support to facilitate the implementation of entrepreneurial and self-employment projects, both in the creative industries and in the construction sector. This employment experience, subsidized by the SOC of the Generalitat de Catalunya within the framework of the Garantia Juvenil programs, and which involved 30 young people between 18 and 29 years old, offers a job of skills and competences both personal and professional in a scenario quite different from what until now they were accustomed.
